Who am I?

Hi, I'm Michael Lynch and I'm running for school board for three simple reasons: to keep teachers here, to keep our students safe, and to keep buses running. I've lived in Wilson County since June 2021. I have a wife, a son, and a dog. We are members at Grace United Methodist Church here in Mt. Juliet. We absolutely love our community and couldn't think of a better place to raise our son.

My Father was a CNC Machinist and my Mother was a Teacher. We moved to Georgia when I was five, and I had the benefit of attending K-12 (and graduating from) the highest rated school district in the country in 2003. So I know what greatness looks like. I know what a great public school system can do, and what it takes to achieve that level of success.

We need strong leadership who will look out for the faculty, staff, and students - not just what an outside group tells them to do. We need a leader capable of guiding our district to excellence who will work with our county and city commissioners to improve our failing infrastructure, reinvest in our communities, and grow new partnerships to do it cost effectively.

My professional career is in cybersecurity where I've held a variety of roles. I know what can affect our technology and how best to keep our kids safe from dangers ever present on the digital landscape. We need to prepare our students for a digital world and keep them safe while we do it.

We have a lot we can improve upon in Wilson County, but also a whole lot to be proud of. We need leaders who can step up and take us to a new level of greatness instead of racing us to the bottom. I want to be that Leader for you. I would love to serve the people of Zone 4 with pride, but most importantly be a voice for all students in Wilson County. A voice that listens first, acts kindly, and loves all. Please support my campaign and vote for me in both the primary and the general election. Thank you.
